Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity near vibrant Livermore, CA, where you can shape young lives by delivering high-quality Speech-Language Pathology services in a K-8 school setting. This full-time position spans the 2026/2027 school year, comprising 375 hours, with the chance to make a real difference for a manageable caseload of 55 students (up to a maximum of 61 children). This is a fantastic environment for both experienced SLPs and those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year, offering diverse and meaningful experiences.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active or pending California SLP licensure ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or CFY status accepted Experience supporting elementary and/or middle school students preferred Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families Dedication to fostering student growth and achieving positive outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop personalized intervention plans for students across K-8 grades Deliver engaging one-on-one and group therapy sessions tailored to each student's needs Maintain accurate records, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support student communication goals within the classroom Stay up-to-date with best practices and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment As you enrich students' communication abilities and contribute to their success, you'll experience the fulfillment that comes from seeing real progress and making an impact every day.
