Job Description
Sierra Foothills Academy is a K-12 Special needs education program with a small school environment, which enables us to work more hands on with our kids.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. As an SLP, you will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders for our students.Responsibilities:
Conducts comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Develops and implements individualized treatment plans to address students' communication goals. Provides direct therapy services using a variety of techniques and modalities to improve speech, language, and cognitive abilities. Collaborates with clients, families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support optimal outcomes. Documents progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Stays current on research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. California state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred. Experience working with diverse populations and across age groups. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
