Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available in Madera, CA, within a school setting for the full school year. This role focuses on providing quality speech and language support to students, requiring expertise in managing diverse caseloads and collaborating within an educational team environment.
Key qualifications include:
A minimum of 2 years of California school-based SLP experience At least 1 year of experience with SEIS (Special Education Information System) Ability to supervise speech-language pathology assistants (SLPAs) and facilitators preferred Strong skills in managing high caseloads and handling new referrals effectively New graduates (Clinical Fellows) are encouraged to apply Must be available to work onsite inMadera, CA Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy services to students, maintaining a caseload of approximately 60-65 students, with about 25-30 requiring speech-only interventions Collaborate with educational staff and support personnel to optimize student progress Supervise SLPAs as available and needed to support therapy delivery Manage documentation and compliance in accordance with school and state guidelines This is a contract position offering a workweek of 37.5 hours at an elementary school.
