Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Soliant is seeking a Speech Therapist for a school-based contract position with a local school district near Mammoth Lakes, CA. Previous experience working with children is desired, but not required for this school-based job. Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses of speech, language, voice, and hearing impairments. Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address students' needs in communication, language development, articulation, and social communication. Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to support and integrate intervention strategies within the educational environment.
Experience:
Previous experience in schools or pediatric offices preferred but not required

M.S. in
