Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Merced, CA ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Merced, CA Job Details Full-time | Contract $45.53 - $72.53 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Speech-Language Pathology License Full Job Description Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting young learners in a vibrant school environment near Merced, CA. This full-time position is perfect for professionals passionate about delivering in-person therapy and making a meaningful difference in students' communication skills. Your commitment will span Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The role begins on July 17th, 2026, offering a chance to start the school year with a dedicated team that values collaboration and student success. You'll begin with a manageable caseload of 35 students, with potential to grow to 55, focusing on Pre-K through 1st-grade children.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in California Previous experience working in school settings, especially with early childhood populations Strong assessment, IEP development, and documentation skills Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities Reliability and enthusiasm for on-site work
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders Develop and implement tailored therapy plans for students in PreK to 1st grade Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with educational and regulatory standards Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals to foster student growth Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to each student's educational planning Adapt strategies to meet individual needs and ensure the highest level of care This contract role offers a fulfilling environment for SLPs who love working hands-on with young students and being an essential part of a school community.
