Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting TK-12 students within a close-knit district for the upcoming school year. This position is focused exclusively onsite, serving a diverse caseload across both elementary and high school levels. The district serves approximately 3,650 students, with special education needs ranging from General Education supports to more moderate and severe cases. You'll work with colleagues and students at Rosamond Elementary (TK-5) and Rosamond High Early College Campus (9th-12th), providing speech/language therapy, evaluations, and consultative services. The assignment is 37.5 hours weekly, with a caseload that may include up to 60 students. Support from a collaborative team will be part of your daily experience, whether you bring local expertise or travel to the area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Speech-Language Pathology license for California Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Experience working in a school-based setting, TK-12 preferred Ability to work with a wide range of student disabilities from mild to severe Strong written and verbal communication skills Commitment to consistent onsite presence
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct speech/language therapy Collaborate with educators, families, and district staff to support IEP goals Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all students served Adapt services to meet the full spectrum of student needs
