Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding position providing speech-language pathology services at the elementary level for the full 2026-2027 school year. In this in-person contract role, you'll work at a single elementary campus serving students from transitional kindergarten through fifth grade. The consistent schedule—Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM, totaling 35 hours per week—allows for a strong connection with students and staff, supporting optimal growth and achievement.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current Speech-Language Pathology license for California required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Prior experience working in school-based settings, especially with early elementary-age children Familiarity with the assessment, development, and implementation of IEPs for speech and language needs Commitment to collaborative work with teachers, staff, and families Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
Conduct direct therapy sessions with students in grades TK-5th, targeting expressive and receptive language, articulation, fluency, and social communication skills Complete comprehensive assessments, documentation, and progress monitoring in accordance with state and district guidelines Develop and contribute to IEPs, providing input at multidisciplinary team meetings and communicating student progress with stakeholders Support educators and classroom environments through consultation, resources, and recommendations Foster positive relationships with students and create an encouraging, engaging therapy experience This contract opportunity immerses you in a vibrant school environment, providing a consistent schedule and the chance to make a significant impact on young learners' communication skills.
