A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School-Based | Newark, CA | Up to $75/hr Support K-12 students in reaching their communication goals while enjoying a consistent weekday schedule and a collaborative school environment.

Earn up to $75/hr, paid weekly• Monday - Friday schedule (no evenings, weekends, or holidays) Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and more are available starting on the first of the month following 30 days of full-time employment. Stable, school-year assignment with potential for extension
What You'll Do:
Conduct student assessments and create individualized therapy plans Provide therapy sessions (individual and small group) aligned with IEP goals Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation and meet state and district compliance standards Travel between school sites as needed
What You'll Need:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders Active California SLP license or California Clinical Services Credential in Speech-Language Pathology (required) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Familiarity with the IEP process and school-based practices Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred Apply Today Opportunities are available now for the 2026-27 school year.
