A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Take your expertise in speech-language pathology to the next level by supporting preschoolers across multiple school sites! This contract opportunity offers full-time hours in a collaborative environment dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of children ages 3-5. With a start date as soon as possible through June 17, 2026, you'll work alongside another experienced SLP while managing a manageable caseload of up to 50 students. Be part of a supportive team providing essential services, as the district also addresses OT needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid California SLP license or eligibility (SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA credential) Experience working with preschool/early childhood (ages 3-5) preferred Strong background in speech-language intervention in school or healthcare settings Comfort with teletherapy platforms and technology (experience with Zoom or Google Meet is ideal) Collaborative spirit to coordinate with on-site team and related service providers Excellent communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver speech and language therapy to preschool students on your caseload Collaborate with another SLP at the school site for support and knowledge-sharing Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized therapy plans for children with various speech/language needs Engage families and school staff to support student progress and success Maintain clear, accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed Utilize teletherapy as appropriate to enhance access and continuity of care What's in
