Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment working with students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). This contract opportunity is located near Palo Alto, CA, and focuses on helping children achieve their communications goals through expert care and personalized interventions.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Active state licensure (or eligibility) in California Previous experience in a school-based SLP setting preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Compassion and patience when working with students of varying needs and abilities
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students' speech and language needs Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with educators and families Provide direct therapy, both individually and in group settings, to support students' progress Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in IEP meetings, and communicate progress to parents and staff Serve as a resource for teachers and staff regarding communication and language development
