Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school-based opportunity is available in Rowland Heights, CA, for a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist-Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist (LSLS Cert. AVT) on a part-time contract basis. This position requires providing specialized Auditory-Verbal Therapy (AVT) services to students to support their listening and spoken language development. Responsibilities include conducting assessments to determine students' ongoing need for AVT services, followed by delivering therapy sessions once per month, each lasting 60 minutes. The role demands strong collaboration with educational staff to tailor interventions that promote students' auditory and spoken language skills.
Key Qualifications:
Must hold the national LSLS Cert. AVT certification Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Audiologist, or Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) with a valid state license Experience providing Auditory-Verbal Therapy services in educational settings Ability to perform thorough assessments and design individualized therapy plans Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a school environment
