Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting K-5 students' communication and academic growth in an engaging school environment. This full-time contract opportunity spans from ASAP through the end of the school year and is perfect for Speech-Language Pathologists interested in making a meaningful difference with a manageable caseload of 35 students. Daily hours run from 7:30 am to 2:45 pm, providing a stable schedule and opportunity to build lasting relationships with young learners, teachers, and families.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Valid California license for Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility to practice (CCC or CFY candidates welcome) Direct experience or strong interest working in school-based settings Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in K-5 students Excellent collaboration and communication skills with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Strong organizational abilities to manage documentation and caseload efficiently Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging speech and language therapy services to a diverse group of elementary students Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with school teams and families Conduct assessments, interpret data, and adjust interventions as needed Maintain thorough records and comply with school documentation standards Consult with teachers and staff to support student success and inclusion Participate in IEP meetings and provide ongoing progress updates If you have a passion for fostering communication skills and making a difference in young lives, this contract role offers the chance to expand your expertise in a supportive, school-based setting.
