Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Take your skills as a Speech and Language Pathologist to the next level with a rewarding contract opportunity serving students in a supportive educational setting near Salinas, CA.
Two roles are currently available:
one working with rural schools supporting TK through 8th grade students (will require travel between sites), and another focused in a preschool setting with children ages 3-5 at a single location. Both positions offer the unique chance to make a meaningful impact while working with caseloads of approximately 35-45 students.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current SLP licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Previous experience providing speech/language therapy in school settings preferred Strong ability to collaborate with educators, staff, and families Clear, compassionate communicator dedicated to nurturing student growth Ability to work independently and manage a dynamic caseload Willingness to travel between sites (for rural school position)
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and diagnostic assessments for students on caseload Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Deliver direct therapy services tailored to individual student needs Maintain thorough documentation and prepare reports to monitor progress Participate in IEP meetings with families and staff Serve as a resource for teachers to support classroom communication strategies This is an excellent opportunity for SLPs seeking meaningful work, diverse experiences, and the chance to foster communication skills in young learners.
