Job Description

Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an opportunity where your skills as a Speech-Language Pathologist make a tangible impact on students' lives. This contract role focuses on supporting an Extended School Year (ESY) program, offering you the chance to work with a collaborative educational team and help students achieve their communication goals throughout the summer. Serving a diverse caseload near San Carlos, CA, you'll address a range of speech and language needs, from articulation to language development and social communication.
Ideal background and experience:
Active California Speech-Language Pathology License (CA SLP) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred Proven experience working within school-based settings, especially ESY or summer programs Pediatric caseload familiarity and the ability to adapt therapy to elementary and/or secondary students Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with educators and families Understanding of IEP processes, goal development, and progress documentation Dedication to culturally responsive and inclusive practices Key responsibilities: Deliver personalized therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs during the ESY period Assess, diagnose, and plan interventions for various speech, language, and communication disorders Work directly with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure continuity of care and carryover of strategies Maintain timely and accurate paperwork, documentation, and progress reports Participate actively in team meetings to discuss student progress and adjust goals as needed Envision yourself making a real difference for students who require consistency in their communication support.
