Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding career supporting elementary students as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a vibrant school community near Santa Maria, CA. This full-time, contract opportunity spans the entire school year, offering an impactful role working with mild to moderate caseloads across two elementary locations. You'll spend three days a week at one site and two at another, serving a total of approximately 55 students with diverse communication needs. Enjoy a collaborative environment where Clinical Fellows (CF) are welcome; supervision will be provided to support your growth. The district is planning for ongoing speech-language needs for the 2026-27 academic year, making this position ideal for those looking for potential long-term placements.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current California SLP License Experience with elementary school-aged students preferred Ability to support mild to moderate student needs effectively Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 55 students Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply; supervision provided No SLPA required for this role
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations, develop, and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student progress Maintain required documentation and participate in meetings as needed Provide services onsite across both designated elementary locations
