Seeking Part-Time SLPA in Sonoma at Valley of the Moon Speech & Language Valley of the Moon Speech & Language Sonoma, CA Job Details Part-time $45 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Bilingual School experience Teamwork Clinic experience Working with students Full Job Description Job Overview Responsibilities Assist in implementing speech-language therapy plans tailored to individual student needs, including those with language disorders and speech delays. Support therapy sessions by preparing materials, setting up activities, and engaging children in targeted exercises under supervision. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including teachers, occupational therapists, and psychologists—to ensure comprehensive care for students with disabilities. Document therapy progress, maintain accurate records of sessions, and communicate updates to supervising speech-language pathologists. Support early intervention programs by working with young children in pediatric settings or school environments. Participate in telehealth therapy sessions as needed, providing remote support for clients who benefit from virtual services. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational or clinical settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech-language pathology. Experience supporting clients with various speech disorders and language delays, including those with complex needs or disabilities. Familiarity with school-based environments and understanding of early intervention strategies is advantageous. Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with clients, families, and professionals. Bilingual abilities are a plus, especially for serving diverse communities. Previous exposure to telehealth therapy platforms or remote service delivery is desirable but not required.
