Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) onsite in a TK-12 district serving approximately 3,650 students. This opportunity is based in Rosamond, CA with assignments at both the elementary and high school early college campus. The role is onsite only and welcomes travel professionals ready to collaborate and contribute to student success throughout the district. You will provide direct speech and language services to a diverse caseload of up to 60 students with needs ranging from general education to moderate/severe disabilities. Caseloads span across grade levels, including Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade at the elementary site, and 9th through 12th grade at the high school campus. This is a full-time assignment aligned with the district calendar, offering 37.5 contracted hours per week from August 10, 2026, through June 4, 2027.
Desired Experience & Skills:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active California SLP license and ASHA CCCs required School-based SLP experience preferred, especially with diverse and varying severity of student needs Ability to provide onsite services and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy tailored to students' IEP goals Assess, diagnose, and determine interventions across general education through moderate/severe caseloads Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines Engage families and educators in the therapeutic process Work in a supportive community committed to student growth.
