Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of K-8 students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive, school-based environment. This full-time contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, offering the opportunity to provide direct services to a diverse student population with general and mild needs. You'll work onsite, collaborating with fellow professionals in a role designed for a certified SLP (CCC required) — no SLPA supervision necessary.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure Experience working with elementary and middle school students preferred Ability to tailor interventions for students with general and mild communication needs Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive school communityKey Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and deliver therapy to K-8 students Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families Maintain up-to-date documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and federal guidelines Provide guidance and strategies to support student communication development in the classroom Attend IEP and staff meetings as needed Maintain a positive, encouraging therapeutic environment onsite In this role, you'll play a vital part in helping students achieve their communication goals while working with supportive school teams near Thousand Oaks, CA.
