Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A K-12 school district in Ventura, CA is seeking three full-time Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a contract position with a dedicated focus on supporting students across all grade levels. The district strives to accommodate caseload preferences to promote a balanced and effective workload.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive speech-language services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide therapy that addresses communication disorders. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success. Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with district and federal guidelines. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid SLP credential/license for school settings in California. Experience working in K-12 educational environments preferred. Strong knowledge of speech and language development as well as intervention strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff. Ability to manage caseload efficiently and tailor services to individual student needs.
