Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students' communication development in a dynamic school setting near Victorville, CA. This is a contract opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) eager to foster student growth and lend expertise to educators and families. Ideal candidates have a passion for helping children succeed academically and socially, and enjoy working collaboratively in diverse educational environments. Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a commitment to best practices are essential.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid and current state licensure or eligibility (California) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply Experience in school-based settings is highly desirable Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Organizational skills for effective documentation and caseload management
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment results and student needs Offer direct and consultative speech therapy services to students, individually and in groups Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families Document student progress and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Take this opportunity to support academic achievement and positive outcomes for students.
