Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity serving young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist through a contract assignment for the 2026-2027 academic year. In this onsite role, you'll provide essential speech and language services to a vibrant group of pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students. Be a positive influence during a formative period in these students' educational journeys and make a real difference in their lives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license is required (out-of-state candidates welcome, if willing to obtain California licensure) SLP-CCC credential or eligibility for Certificate of Clinical Competence Previous experience working with school-aged children, particularly early childhood/preschool and kindergarten populations, is highly preferred Strong interpersonal communication skills, patience, and empathy for young children Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students aged pre-K to kindergarten Maintain accurate treatment and progress documentation for a manageable caseload of approximately 25-35 students Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals in partnership with teachers and families Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning Provide consultation, support, and strategies to educators and parents Keep up-to-date with best practices and compliance with state and federal school regulations
