Under the direction of the Special Education Coordinator, this position supports students' communication and language development to improve academic and functional performance. This position identifies, evaluates, and provides therapy for students with speech and language impairments; collaborates with educators and families to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); and serves as a case manager and consultant to ensure equitable access to learning through effective communication support. Job Responsibility Description Student Support and Service Delivery Develop, plan, and implement individualized, measurable long- and short-term objectives based on student-identified needs. Design and maintain an effective work schedule and service delivery model that maximizes student outcomes and instructional access. Conduct culturally, linguistically, and developmentally appropriate evaluations to determine initial or continuing eligibility for special education services. Apply therapy and learning techniques that enhance student motivation and progress toward IEP goals and objectives. Provide direct therapy and indirect supports in individual, small-group, and classroom settings to meet diverse communication needs. Serve as Case Manager for students identified with Speech or Language Impairments; contribute to multidisciplinary teams for students with other disabilities. Promote active student engagement and self-advocacy in the learning process. Monitor student growth and progress, adapting supports as needed to address academic, social, emotional, and communication needs. Documentation and Compliance Develop, implement, monitor, and revise IEPs in alignment with Colorado Academic Standards, IDEA, and district priorities. Determine service minutes, goals, accommodations, and instructional strategies that address individual student needs. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student performance, diagnostic results, progress, and communication support. Prepare clear, concise, and professional evaluation reports and records. Complete Medicaid billing and required reports in designated district systems. Interpret medical and developmental information as it relates to educational performance. Collaboration and Communication Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and families to improve student outcomes and foster inclusive learning environments. Communicate students' progress and needs with parents/guardians and school staff in a clear and supportive manner. Facilitate and participate in IEP, evaluation, and parent conferences, ensuring understanding of assessment results and service recommendations. Consult with staff and families on strategies to support communication across settings, including the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and assistive technology tools. Provide training and guidance to teachers and paraprofessionals on integrating communication supports into classroom instruction. Supervise Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) in accordance with state regulations, including observation, planning, and data review. May mentor interns, clinical fellows, or assistive technology staff as assigned. Professional Responsibilities Demonstrate cultural competence and support inclusive practices to address the diverse needs of students and families. Engage in professional growth, department/team meetings, and district initiatives to maintain knowledge of best practices. Support district policies, procedures, and expectations, modeling personal and professional excellence. Participate in school and district activities, events, and initiatives that contribute to a positive learning environment. Other Duties Additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities may be assigned as needed/requested.Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Two years of experience working with children and adolescents preferred School district experience preferred Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License with Speech Language Specialist endorsement required Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred Quality Behavioral Solutions certification (QBS) preferred Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification preferred •( Acceptable education and experience are determined at the sole discretion of the District )Working Conditions:

Speech Language Pathologist Base Pay Salary Schedule Range:
$65,662.76 - $105,575.16 based on one (1) FTE at one hundred eighty eight (188) days. Hiring Range forExternal Candidates:
$65,662.76 - $90,443.04 •Speech Pathologists are initially placed according to experience. Speech Pathologists new to the District may be granted up to 15 years of experience, provided the experience occurred within the last 20 years.
