Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Full-Time Lakewood is hiring a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team. In a long-term care and post-acute setting, this role impacts far more than speech therapy alone. The SLP plays a critical role in helping residents safely eat and drink, communicate their needs, improve cognition, regain independence, and navigate day-to-day interactions that directly affect quality of life. This position works closely with nursing, dietary, rehab, and providers to support residents through both short-term rehabilitation stays and longer-term care needs. What You'll Do Evaluate and treat speech, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders Complete swallowing assessments and provide dysphagia management recommendations Help reduce aspiration risk and support safe meal planning alongside dietary and nursing teams Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional outcomes and quality of life Support residents with cognition, memory, problem-solving, and communication skills needed for daily routines Collaborate closely with nursing, therapy, dietary, and interdisciplinary teams regarding resident care and progress Complete documentation and evaluations accurately and efficiently Qualifications Active Colorado SLP license required CCCs preferred Previous long-term care, post-acute, or rehabilitation experience preferred Strong clinical and communication skills Why Join Our Team?
