A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.
Job Overview We are seeking dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologists to join our collaborative, fun, and multi-disciplinary team at Integrated Pediatric Therapy Associates (IPTA). IPTA provides Occupational, Speech, Music, and Physical Therapy to our wide-range of pediatric clients at two clinical, and one nature-based location in Northern Colorado. We have two amazing outpatient clinics (one in Windsor and one in West Greeley), one nature-based setting (Iron Horse Farms in Fort Collins), and provide services to local daycares/preschools. We are currently seeking speech-language pathologists to support our growing speech therapy team at all of our service locations. Positions range from PRN, part-time, to full-time. We are flexible to work around your schedule and availability , as well as provide options for both contract (1099) and hourly (W2) pay. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized care plans for patients birth through adulthood. This role requires a strong understanding of pediatrics and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals (occupational therapists, music therapists, physical therapists, etc.) as well as parents/caregivers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Safety training will be required/provided before starting treatment at Iron Horse Farms.
Pay and Benefits:
Therapists are paid an hourly rate for their contracted hours regardless of productivity and cancellations. Therapists are provided 3 different ways to bonus with opportunity to earn up to $5,000 in bonuses per year. Hourly therapists are required to allot 80% of their time for direct patient contact, while the remaining 20% of their time is paid documentation, lunches, and breaks. Therapists are paid for any travel between locations during working hours. Therapists are paid for all staff meetings and in-services. Therapists are allotted $250 of continuing ed reimbursement per year in addition to continuing ed opportunities provided at in-services. Full-time therapists are provided 88 hours of PTO per year (accrued each pay period), as well as 8 paid holidays per year (prorated for part-time) . Unpaid time off is unlimited. After 1 month of employment, full time staff are eligible for health, vision, and dental benefits which are 50% sponsored by the employer. After 6 months of employment, full-time staff are eligible for long-term disability, $50,000 life insurance plan, and a 401k with up to 3% match . Why work for IPTA? Collaboration! Job Responsibilities:
Provides phone or in-person screenings for potential new patients on request Completes thorough initial and annual evaluation of client Reviews intake information Administer, score, and assess standardized and non-standardized assessment tools as appropriate Creates and maintains strong plan of care for client Educate, instruct, and collaborate with parents/caregivers on the course of treatment through the plan of care Provides skilled treatments to improve functional independence and environmental accommodations Willingness to fill open/available spots with additional clients as necessary (coverage for other therapists, flex schedule patients, etc.) Provide adequate documentation for skilled occupational therapy evaluations, plan of care updates, and treatment sessions within our scope of practice and according to the guidelines of Medicaid and commercial insurance. Completes all documentation within 48 business hours of the scheduled visit Create and provide appropriate materials for home exercise programs to parents/caregivers to facilitate carry over of skilled treatment Provide letters of medical necessity when necessary Collaborate with other therapies and/or providers when necessary Collaborate, supervise and complete evaluations and plan of care updates with SLP/A Adhere to the ASHA Code of Ethics Maintain professional credentials through continuing education as outlined by our licensing boards, ASHA and DORA Assist in clinic cleanliness Volunteer for clinic events both during clinic hours and outside of clinic hours Attend weekly and monthly staff meetings Attend all-staff in-services Track and submit all productivity and bonus reports Join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and community!
