Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an impactful full-time role supporting students from Pre K to 6th grade as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity is based in a single school building near Bridgeport, CT, providing continuity and rapport with both staff and students. You'll work closely with a caseload that includes students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), applying your expertise to foster communication skills and promote positive academic and social outcomes. Required Qualifications And Experience Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current state licensure and ASHA certification (or eligibility) Previous experience delivering services in a school setting Demonstrated proficiency in working with children on the autism spectrum Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Commitment to supporting student growth in both group and one-on-one settings Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations Develop, monitor, and adjust treatment plans based on student needs Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student success Deliver direct therapy services, including interventions tailored to students with ASD Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with school and regulatory requirements Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations Foster a positive, inclusive environment supporting students with diverse needs Enjoy the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young learners in a welcoming school environment with a strong support network.
