Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract role where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist can make a meaningful difference in a school-based setting near vibrant Danbury, CT. This opportunity is ideal for both experienced SLPs with CCC credentials and those completing their CFY, offering a supportive environment and a rewarding chance to impact students' communication skills and overall academic success.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid SLP licensure for Connecticut or eligibility for state licensure ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply Passion for working with school-aged children and collaborates effectively with educators, parents, and support teams Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties Deliver direct therapy services to students in group and individual settings Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to support students' educational goals and ensure IEP compliance Write thorough evaluations and progress reports, maintaining accurate records Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings as a key member of the student support team Communicate with families to provide updates on progress and offer resources as needed You will become part of a welcoming and professional community dedicated to student growth, with opportunities to broaden your clinical skills and work in a collaborative, education-focused environment.
