Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a maternity leave assignment at a middle school in Groton, CT. This contract position runs from March 5, 2026, through June 17, 2026, with work hours Monday through Friday from 7:25 AM to 2:45 PM. The role involves supporting a middle school caseload onsite during the school day.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy services to middle school students in an educational setting Provide direct support to students with speech and language needs, following individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student success Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports Work with both part-time caseloads and clinical fellows (CFYs), providing guidance and supervision as appropriate Preferred qualifications and experience: Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred Experience or eligibility for the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Previous experience working as a school-based SLP is highly desirable Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work effectively with middle school students and collaborate within a school team This is an excellent opportunity for a certified or clinical fellow Speech-Language Pathologist seeking a short-term placement in a middle school environment. Onsite, full-time commitment is essential to meet student needs during the maternity leave period.
