Job Description

Make a lasting difference in students' communication skills working as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time opportunity allows you to focus on serving a high school caseload, supporting students' growth and academic success across grades 6-12. Enjoy a consistent schedule of 8 hours per week, which offers the ability to maintain work-life balance while contributing your expertise. You'll collaborate with dedicated educational professionals in a welcoming school community located near Higganum, CT. This contract position runs from August 31, 2026, through June 14, 2027, providing stability and the chance to see your students' progress across a complete academic year.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Connecticut SLP Certification required Experience with school-age populations (grades K-12), with a focus on high school students strongly preferred Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a range of speech, language, and communication disorders Strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable collaborating with school staff, families, and other service providers

Responsibilities:

Manage a high school speech-language caseload, providing direct and consult services Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Participate in IEP meetings and document progress toward student goals Maintain accurate and compliant paperwork Serve as a resource for teachers and parents regarding communication disorders This is an excellent part-time opportunity for a certified SLP wanting to make a meaningful impact in students' academic and personal development.
