Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized therapy services within a high school setting in Hamden, CT. This contract position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of approximately 45 students, delivering targeted speech and language interventions to support their academic and communication development.
Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs. Provide direct therapy to students on a caseload of about 45 individuals, focusing on communication skills essential for academic success. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other related service providers to ensure consistency and progress in therapy goals. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports in accordance with school policies. Participate in meetings, including IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, to advocate for student needs.
Qualifications:
Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Experience working within school settings, specifically with high school-aged students. Strong knowledge of evidence-based speech and language intervention strategies. Ability to manage a caseload of 45+ students effectively. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Work Schedule and Location:
25.5 hours per week. Contract position lasting through the end of the school year. Located in Hamden, CT.
