Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment by bringing your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to this rewarding contract opportunity. This role, located just outside the vibrant Hamden area, is designed for a passionate SLP who thrives working with middle school students. The position is full-time and is expected to last 6-8 weeks, with potential for extension based on school needs. Your focus will be on helping students reach their communication goals while collaborating with educators and families to create a positive learning atmosphere. Desired Qualifications:
Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field Previous experience in a school setting, preferably with middle school aged students Ability to develop and implement IEPs and therapy plans Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Team player with a professional, compassionate approach
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy to middle school students with a variety of needs Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' eligibility for services Develop, implement, and manage IEPs in collaboration with school staff and parents Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required reports Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment Enjoy the
