Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to cover a maternity leave from April 15 to June 11 in schools serving students in 4th through 8th grades. This contract opportunity is ideal for a professional with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) interested in providing direct support to students in both intermediate and middle school settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy to students in 4th-8th grades Utilize evidence-based practices tailored to pediatric school populations Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain accurate therapeutic documentation Adapt therapy for diverse learning needs and support teletherapy as neededDesired Qualifications:
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Experience working in school settings preferred; qualification may vary depending on years of experience Pediatric speech-language pathology skills, including articulation, fluency, language, voice, and social communication Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) candidates with appropriate CCC status considered Strong communication and collaboration abilitiesLocation:
Meriden, CT area This contract role offers the opportunity to impact student learning during an important developmental phase within a supportive educational environment. Candidates should be prepared to work full-time across two school levels.
