Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Seeking skilled Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) for contract positions in schools located in Bloomfield and Manchester, CT. These full-time roles, offering 30-40 hours per week, are ideal for professionals looking to support student communication development from now through mid-June (End of School Year).
Locations & Student Populations:
Bloomfield Campus:
Serving grades 6-12
Manchester Campus:
Serving grades K-5 Each site supports approximately 5-7 students
Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Experience working in school settings, supporting children with speech and language needs Ability to assist with individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and therapists
Responsibilities:
Implement speech and language interventions designed by the supervising SLP Monitor and document student progress with attention to detail Assist in preparing materials and adapting lessons for therapy sessions Support a caseload of students to improve communication skills and academic performance Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success strategies This contract opportunity provides valuable experience in school-based speech-language pathology, focusing on developmental and educational communication goals. Candidates must be ready to start as soon as possible and remain through mid-June.
