Category Schools - SLP - CFY Job Type Contract A school district in New Haven, CT is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) for the upcoming school year. This is a strong opportunity to complete your Clinical Fellowship in a diverse, urban school setting with structured supervision and collaborative support. Position Overview Full-time, Monday-Friday (35-40 hours/week) Onsite role serving PreK-12 students (assignment based on district needs) CF supervision provided by a licensed SLP Full school year contract with potential for renewal Caseload Details Average caseload: 40-60 students (varies by school site) Diverse student population across general and special education Areas of service include: Articulation & phonological disorders Receptive/expressive language delays Social/pragmatic communication needs Fluency and voice disorders Higher likelihood of exposure to: Autism spectrum disorders AAC/assistive communication devices Multilingual/English learner populations
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations Develop and implement IEP goals Provide direct therapy (individual and small group) Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff Maintain documentation and compliance with district/state guidelines Connecticut State Requirements (SLP-CF) Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Eligibility for the Connecticut Initial Educator Certificate (Speech-Language Pathologist) through the Connecticut State Department of Education Completion of supervised Clinical Fellowship (CF) under a licensed SLP Licensure through the Connecticut Department of Public Health Passing the Praxis exam typically required for full certification/licensure Compensation for this position ranges from $36.41 to $56.41.
