Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity available to provide speech-language pathology services in an educational setting for the 2026-2027 school year! Based near New Haven, CT, this contract position offers the chance to work closely with students in pre-K through 8th grade, making a direct and positive impact on their communication and learning journeys. Candidates must hold ASHA certification or be completing their Clinical Fellowship (CF), and should be ready to work full-time (37.5 hours per week, with a max of 7.5 hours each day). The assignment spans one to two school sites, allowing you to build strong relationships with both students and staff alike. This supportive environment is especially welcoming to new graduates, offering mentorship, resources, and an encouraging team dedicated to student success.
Key Qualifications:
Active ASHA certification or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CF) Experience or strong interest in working with pre-K through middle school-aged children Commitment to a full academic year, from 2026 to 2027 Thrives in a collaborative, school-based setting
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments Deliver therapy to students with diverse needs from pre-K to 8th grade Create individualized education plans (IEPs) and regularly monitor progress Collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other support professionals Attend multidisciplinary team meetings as needed for student planning
