Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis in a vibrant educational environment near New London, CT. Your expertise will help students unlock their communication potential and achieve new levels of success in their academic journey. You'll join a collaborative team of dedicated educators committed to fostering an inclusive and empowering atmosphere.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state SLP license and appropriate school credentials Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to develop rapport with students, staff, and families Flexibility and commitment to working with diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations to assess communication, language, speech, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and family members to support student growth Participate in IEP development, meetings, and progress reviews Document student progress, interventions, and outcomes in a timely manner Stay current on best practices in school-based SLP services and interventions
