Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologists with a passion for supporting early learners. This contract position empowers you to make a direct impact in Pre-K through 2nd grade settings, providing high-quality speech and language services within the school environment. Whether you're seeking full-time or part-time hours, school-day schedules (8:30am to 3:00pm) offer work-life balance and meaningful engagement with students and interdisciplinary teams. The role is based conveniently within 25 minutes of Norwich and requires on-site presence for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates (CFY) welcome Experience or enthusiasm for working in early childhood/elementary school settings Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Familiarity with conducting group and individual therapy in a school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language services to Pre-K through 2nd grade students Participate in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings as a valuable member of the educational team Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and track student progress Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to optimize student communication outcomes Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines Create engaging therapy activities tailored to young learners' needs and developmental levels This is a fantastic opportunity to work hands-on with a vibrant community of educators and young learners, shaping communication success from the start.
