Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based setting near Ridgefield, CT, as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in students' communication and academic successes. This contract opportunity welcomes both Clinical Fellows (CFY) and experienced SLPs (CCC), offering a supportive environment ideal for professional growth and skill development.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or completing the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Previous experience in a schools-based setting is preferred Commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students' speech, language, and communication needs Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings Maintain detailed documentation on student progress and services rendered Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to support student outcomes Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions Utilize evidence-based practices and stay current with developments in the field
