Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting early learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract role is ideal for passionate professionals ready to make a real impact in the lives of PreK through 2nd-grade students. Located just a short drive from Norwich, the in-person position offers both full and part-time options to fit your lifestyle within standard school hours of 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM. You will work directly with young students, collaborating closely with educators and families to ensure every child's success and growth. This pivotal position allows you to foster communication development in a supportive educational setting.
Qualifications & Experience:
SLP-CCC credentials or candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) considered Demonstrated experience or training within school settings; Pre-K through 2nd grade preferred Familiarity with school-based service delivery models and attendance at Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members and parents Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility for certification
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy for Pre-K to 2nd grade students Participate in PPT meetings to contribute to Individualized Education Program planning Conduct assessments and develop measurable goals for students' growth Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school protocols Communicate progress and strategies with parents, teachers, and related service staff Experience professional fulfillment supporting early learners in a collaborative, community-focused environment.
