Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a role where you can support and empower students, enhancing their communication and academic success through specialized speech-language pathology services. This contract opportunity allows you to work directly with school-aged children, providing assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators and families in a vibrant educational environment. Ideal candidates bring a passion for pediatrics and prioritize a student-centered approach, adapting evidence-based practices to each learner's needs. This position welcomes both seasoned Speech-Language Pathologists with CCC as well as those seeking their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), offering plenty of opportunities for professional growth.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for CFY Valid state licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start date) Background in school-based or pediatric healthcare settings preferred Strong assessment, intervention, and collaboration skills Excellent communication and organizational abilitiesKey Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech, language, and communication needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using best practices Maintain documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and educators to support student success Participate in IEP meetings, share recommendations, and contribute to educational planning Provide direct and consultative services within classroom or pull-out settings Experience the fulfillment of making a direct impact in students' lives while working in an inclusive, supportive school atmosphere.
