Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact working with students as you bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to a welcoming and collaborative school environment near Bear, DE. This contract position offers the opportunity to help students thrive academically and socially, while you expand your professional experience in a supportive setting. We're seeking dedicated professionals who are enthusiastic about working in educational settings, whether you're a seasoned SLP, SLP-CCC, Teletherapy SLP, SLP-CFY, or an SLPA. Your skills will be valued in addressing a variety of communication disorders and enhancing student engagement.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (for SLPs) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or working toward Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcome State licensure as an SLP or SLPA (or eligibility for licensure) Previous school or pediatric experience is highly desired Teletherapy experience a plus, but not required Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Compassion, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit
Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostics for speech and language disorders in a school setting Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Deliver effective therapy, whether in-person or via teletherapy, adapting techniques to student needs Provide consultation and support to educators and families Track progress, maintain documentation, and participate in relevant meetings Mentor/assist students as they achieve speech, language, communication, and academic goals
