Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing dedicated speech language therapy services for children and young adults, from kindergarten up to 22 years old. This full-time contract opportunity offers 37.5 hours each week within a supportive educational environment near Dover, DE. Engage with students presenting a range of needs, including moderate to severe disabilities, and contribute to their growth and communication development.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver speech-language therapy, addressing assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding challenges, and receptive/expressive language delays. Conduct diagnostic and evaluative assessments; compile detailed, insightful assessment reports. Support the development, implementation, and documentation of IEP objectives to drive student success. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and staff to monitor developmental progress and identify areas requiring support. Adapt strategies and interventions for students across a wide age and ability range, including those with moderate to severe disabilities.

Qualifications:

Holds or is eligible for a Delaware state license (SLP or CFY welcome to apply). Experience with students with moderate to severe disabilities is highly valued. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a collaborative, adaptable mindset. Demonstrated flexibility and effective problem-solving abilities.
