Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding summer opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing essential support to students during an Extended School Year (ESY) program. Situated in a vibrant community near Georgetown, DE, this contract role offers you the chance to make a lasting impact during a focused summer session. You'll collaborate with dedicated staff, serving students from June 29th to July 23rd, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weekdays, for a total of 30 hours per week. Enjoy a meaningful, balanced schedule that allows you to focus your expertise while still having time to enjoy your summer evenings and weekends.
Preferred Experience and Credentials:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active CCC-SLP and Delaware SLP license (or eligibility to obtain) Experience working in school-based settings, especially in ESY or similar summer programs Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Familiarity with IEPs, goal-setting, and progress documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and provide direct speech-language therapy to eligible students Develop individualized treatment plans tailored for summer programming Collaborate effectively with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families Document student progress and communicate updates to educational teams Participate in staff set-up day and ESY planning This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic, short-term roles and are passionate about student growth.
