Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to support K-6 students as a School-based Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract, part-time position offers a balanced and impactful schedule of two full days dedicated to direct student services, with an additional half day reserved for vital meetings and testing. You'll play a key role in fostering student growth, communication, and success in a vibrant school environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active DE SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensing before start date Preferred experience working with elementary-aged children (K-6) Familiarity with IEP development and school-based documentation requirements Strong collaboration skills to work with teachers, administrators, and families Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide engaging and effective direct therapy services to K-6 students, addressing a variety of speech-language needs Conduct assessments and participate in eligibility testing Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals tailored to student needs Collaborate closely with educational team members and families to support student success Attend required meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions Maintain thorough, timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
