Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a vibrant K-6th grade setting near Laurel, DE. This part-time, contract role is set for the 2026-2027 school year, beginning at the end of August and running through the conclusion of the academic year. With a growing caseload and an encouraging, collaborative school environment, you'll have the chance to make a real impact while working just two days per week.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Current DE SLP license or eligibility for licensure Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred; will review SLPAs and Clinical Fellows (CFs) with relevant school-based background Experience working with K-6 population is highly valued Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to a varied and expanding caseload
Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders within a diverse student population Develop and implement individual and group therapy sessions tailored to IEP goals Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Maintain thorough documentation and timely reporting in compliance with school and state guidelines Contribute to the creation of a positive, supportive learning environment for all students
