Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding summer opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a dynamic, school-based environment. This contract position runs from June 29th to July 23rd, working with the ESY (Extended School Year) program, and is designed for professionals dedicated to making a difference during the pivotal summer months. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 30 hours each week. You'll provide essential speech and language services to help students achieve their communication goals, collaborating with a supportive team of educators.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from ASHA required Valid state licensure allowing SLP practice in schools Experience in a school-based SLP setting strongly preferred Skilled with IEP development, student assessments, and documentation Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Ready to work on-site near the Millsboro/Seaford area
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students across age groups during the ESY program Create, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Assess, monitor, and document student progress with clear, timely reports Consult with teachers, families, and staff to support student success Collaborate to create a positive, engaging learning atmosphere Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology This is a unique chance to help students maintain their progress and get ahead for the new school year—all while gaining valuable experience in a collaborative environment.
