Speech Language Pathologist Position Summary The Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is a licensed professional who is responsible and accountable for the planning, implementation and delivery of speech pathology services to ensure positive patient outcomes. The SLP is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of disorders affecting speech, language, voice, swallow and cognitive-communicative function for pediatric populations. The SLP assess and documents the pediatric patient's communication status using clinical observations, caregiver reports, and standardized testing. The SLP develops a plan for treatment that integrates family values child's deficits and the clinical guidelines/recommendations. The SLP documents the ongoing progress towards goals, addresses goals and provides treatment that supports sensory-motor, cognitive, psychological, and behavioral development. Speech Language Pathologist Position Requirements Education Masters Degree required from an accredited university in Speech Language Pathology/Communication Disorders. Required License and/or Certification Current Maryland or Delaware Speech Pathologist Licensure Experience Previous Pediatric Experience Preferred. Bilingual - Spanish/English is preferred.
