Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A rewarding contract opportunity awaits speech-language professionals eager to make a difference in a school setting near Milton, DE. Support a diverse K-12th grade student population by assisting their communication, social, and language development, with flexibility for either full-time (35 hours/week) or part-time schedules during the academic year from August 19, 2026, through June 8, 2027. Both SLP-CCC and CFY candidates are encouraged to apply.
Key Qualifications:
Must hold, or be eligible for, Delaware state licensure as an SLP or CFY Prior experience working with moderate to severe student populations is a plus Skilled in both early intervention and supporting a range of developmental needs Strong written and verbal communication abilities Able to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families Solutions-focused, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a dynamic multidisciplinary teamPrimary Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy for students, spanning assistive technology, augmentative communication, social skills, articulation, voice, and oral-motor/feeding concerns Conduct comprehensive diagnostic and evaluation testing as required Prepare clear, thorough, and insightful assessment and observation reports Develop and maintain individualized education program (IEP) objectives tailored to student needs Collaborate with stakeholders—including families and school staff—to monitor progress and provide guidance for continued student development Respond adeptly to challenges, adapting strategies to support students' unique needsBenefits Include:
