Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding summer opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, focusing on supporting students during an Extended School Year (ESY) program. Located near Milton, DE, this contract position spans from June 29th through July 23rd, offering you the chance to make a real impact within a welcoming educational environment. You'll work a steady schedule of 30 hours per week, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, providing specialized speech and language services to students who benefit from extra support during the summer session.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Current
SLP, SLP-CCC
credentials, and licensure for Delaware Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Experience with IEP development, implementation, and progress tracking Strong collaboration skills with classroom teachers, aides, and families Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational abilities Capable of adapting therapy to individual student needs in a dynamic environment
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to students participating in the ESY summer program Conduct assessments and update individualized treatment plans according to student progress Engage with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated student care Monitor, record, and report on student growth, making data-driven recommendations Participate in staff set-up day and weekly team meetings Serve as a resource for staff and parents regarding communication or language concerns
