Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity with a contract role supporting elementary-aged students for the upcoming 26-27 school year. This in-person position offers the chance to foster meaningful progress in the lives of young learners. You'll be joining a collaborative environment with two full-time Speech-Language Pathologists, allowing you to focus primarily on inclusion students and provide support for a manageable caseload of approximately 40-45 students. The majority of the more complex student needs will be handled by a highly experienced SLP peer, giving you continuity, mentorship, and team-based support.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current or eligible Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for Delaware Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly valued Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff Adaptability when working with diverse student populations, including some with complex needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy to caseload of 40-45 elementary students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs Collaborate with the school team to ensure the best student outcomes Maintain thorough documentation compliant with district and state requirements Participate in IEP meetings and support parent communication Contribute to an inclusive and positive educational environment This is an excellent chance to further your expertise while being part of a supportive, collaborative SLP team.
