Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in the Chipley, FL area. Serving a vibrant local school district, you'll play a vital role in helping children and adolescents communicate confidently and reach their educational goals. This position is school-based and full-time, offering approximately 37.5 hours per week for the upcoming academic year. Your expertise as an SLP will be valued as you assess, treat, and support students with a variety of communication needs. The exact caseload and age groups will be determined based on district assignments, ensuring a balanced experience that matches your skills and preferences.
Key Qualifications:
Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license required Previous experience in school settings highly valued Strong understanding of evaluation and intervention for pediatric populations Adept at collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy services to students in elementary through high school settings (caseload specifics TBD) Administer assessments and create individualized treatment plans to address IEP goals Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress notes and special education meetings Partner closely with teachers and support staff to foster a communicative classroom environment Engage with families to provide guidance, updates, and resources This contract position offers a stable, consistent schedule of around 37.5 hours each week during the school year.
